The Chinese anthology of the major poetical works of Kazi Nazrul Islam – the national poet of Bangladesh – is expected to be launched in Beijing on the occasion of the National and Independence Day of Bangladesh. The Embassy of Bangladesh took the initiative to translate the works of Nazrul into Chinese with a view to introducing this leading creative genius to the Chinese readership. The Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of Bangladesh extended financial support to materialize the project. 

The translation work has been done by Professor Bai Kai Yuan, a renowned expert of Bangla language in China who had previously translated Rabindra Nath Tagore’s works into Chinese. The anthology would be a significant contribution to promoting the works of Nazrul internationally.
