Statement condemning the Israeli attack on the Freedom Flotilla

The Government of Bangladesh condemns the attack by the Israeli troops on the Freedom Flotilla intended to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian People under the Israeli blockade Bangladesh is shocked and saddened at the attack carried on unarmed civilians onboard the Mavi Marmara on 31 May, 2010 and the resultant loss of lives Bangladesh expresses its sincerest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families and joins in prayer for the salvation of the departed souls.

Further, the government of Bangladesh reiterates its call for collective international action to help end the siege immediately and to allow the people of Palestine to return to normal life.
