The Government of Bangladesh has taken all out efforts to tackle the existing flood situation in the country. The National Disaster Management Committee and the Inter-Ministerial Coordination Committees have been strengthened to coordinate the flood rehabilitation program. The Members of the Advisory Council are supervising the relief operations across the country.
Although the Government of Bangladesh has not made any formal appeal for international assistance, it would accept with thanks and gratitude any contribution from individuals or organizations for the flood affected people.
Individuals or organizations desiring to make donations for the flood victims may send their contributions directly to the Chief Adviser's Relief Fund in the following account and address:

Any of the following procedures can be followed to send the donations to the above-mentioned address:
The donations in the form of cash or cheque may directly be sent to the above address by the donors under intimation to this Embassy; or
กกCheques or bank drafts or money orders in favour of Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund may be sent through the Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing to the above address. The Bangladesh Embassy will send the cheques to the relief fund through the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry. However, it may take at least 10-15 days for the cheques to reach its destination; or
กกFor sending the money quickly to the relief fund, it is advisable to transfer the amount through money transfer agencies.
