REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING DIFFERENT KINDS OF VISA
Business visa (B-Visa):
- Letter of Invitation / Sponsorship from any local Bangladeshi company or recognized Bangladeshi business organization or letter of recommendation from any recognized Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the concerned country;
- Duly filled in Visa Application Form (Click here for Visa Form);

- Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
- Passport with minimum six months validity.
Employment Visa (E-Visa):
- Letter of Recommendation explaining condition of appointment from concerned Ministry / BOI / BEPZA of Bangladesh;
- Duly filled in Visa Application Form (Click here for Visa Form);

- Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
- Passport with minimum six months validity.
Tourist Visa (T-Visa):
- Letter of Invitation from any Bangladeshi tourist operator or any Chinese tourist operator;

- Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
- Passport with minimum six months validity.
Student Visa (S-Visa):
- Letter of Recommendation or Offer Letter from any recognized educational institution of Bangladesh;
- Letter of Sponsorship and Bank Guarantee Certificate;

Research Visa (R-Visa):
- Letter of Recommendation from concerned Department / Institution of Bangladesh;
- Letter of Acceptance from concerned Ministry of Bangladesh;

Journalist Visa (J-Visa):
- Letter of Recommendation explaining purpose of the visit to Bangladesh from concerned Department of Bangladesh or authentic media / sending authority;

- Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
- Passport with minimum six months validity.
N.B. It is noted here that Journalist Visas are usually issued after getting clearance from External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh. It needs at least two weeks to issue visa after receiving visa application.
Private Investment Visa (PI visa):
- Letter of Recommendation from Board of Investment (BOI) or Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA) explaining authentic investor to Bangladesh;
- Duly filled in Visa Application Form (Click here for Visa Form);

- Passport size recent photographs with white background- two copies;
- Passport with minimum six months validity.
Mode of Submission of visa application to the Embassy and mode of delivery of visas to the applicants after processing:
- Directly: Applicants or authentic representative of the applicants may wish to directly submit the visa applications along with other relevant documents and visa fee in cash from 09.00 to 12.00 hrs during office day of the week to the reception room of the Embassy. After processing, concerned official would deliver visas directly to the applicants or to their representatives from 16.30 to 17.00 hrs during office day of the week from the reception room of the Embassy;
- By Postal Service: Applicants may wish to send visa application, money receipt of visa fee and other relevant documents by EMS. The passports after endorsing necessary visas would be returned to the applicants by return EMS. In this case additional RMB 22 would be included with the Visa Fee. Applicants are advised to send money through postal service in favour of Passport Section, Embassy of Bangladesh, 42 Guang Hua Lu, Beijing, China.
Required time for processing and delivering visas:
- Urgent visas are processed and delivered on the same day of receiving visa applications;
- Ordinary visas are processed and delivered on the following day of receiving visa applications;
- The visa applications which are received by postal service (EMS) are also processed and posted to the nearest Post Office by return EMS on the following day of receiving EMS.
