General Information on Bangladesh Visa

Basic materials for four kinds of Bangladesh Visa

Business Visa (B)
Invitation letter (from Bangladesh inviter);
Dispatch letter issued by company that applicant works.

 

Employment Visa (E)
Job appointment letter signed by Bangladesh company and applicant;
Request Letter for Work issued by Bangladesh Board of Investment or Export Processing Zones Authority;
Applicant could get three-month work visa at maximum.

 

Private Investment (PI)
BOI registration certificate is required. (Applicant should be one of the shareholders; he has already set up a company in Bangladesh and registered in Board of Investment. Only shareholder applicant can apply for PI visa);
Tax certificate. 

Family / Relative Visit Visa (FE) 
Invitation letter issued by company where applicant’s family member or relative works in;
Work permit of the family member in Bangladesh;
Copy of certificate that can prove the relationship between applicant and interviewee. 

Tour Visa (T)
Guarantee letter issued by company in China where applicant works in, with assurance that applicant can come back China before visa expiry;
If applicant is invited to travel by his friend who is in Bangladesh, invitation letter from your friend is required;
If no friend in Bangladesh, applicant should show hotel room reservation paper;
Tourist applicant could get 15-day visa at maximum;
Besides the above-mentioned application materials, applicant should also provide the documents: original passport, completed visa application form, two 2-inches photos. After reviewing the application materials.

N O T I C E

  1. Applicant should sign his signature in person on both lower-right part of Bangladesh Visa Application Form and passport;

  2. Dispatch letter, Guarantee letter should be edited in English and printed out through computer on letter head pad with company’s name, address, telephone number, etc. 

  3. Dispatch letter should be mentioned in English with applicant’s name, passport number, designation, reason for visiting Bangladesh, duration of stay, inviter’s name and designation, as well as seal of the company in China;

  4. Invitation letter should be mentioned in English with signature of relevant official and company’s seal;

  5. Guarantee letter should be mentioned in English with applicant’s name, passport number, designation, reason for visiting Bangladesh, duration of stay, as well as seal of the company in China. The words of ‘applicant can come back China before visa expiry’ should also mention on it;

  6. Visa application through post office. Applicant may posts visa materials and the filled-up of right part of EMS form to the following address: No. 42, GuangHuaLu, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Postcode: 100600. Receiver: Visa Section, Bangladesh Embassy. Applicant should post visa fee and 21Yuan (EMS charge) together to the address above in form of money order (or called ‘PuTongHuiKuan’ in Chinese). Please fill up the postscript on the money order with applicant name and passport number. Don’t put any money into the EMS envelope, Visa Section doesn’t accept cash. Applicant may call to the Embassy and inquiries the visa process situation on the 4th workday since the day to post visa application materials.

    If application materials are handed in by person to the Embassy directly, visa fee in form of cash is allowed. Regarding the time for accepting visa materials, please refer to the following information;

  7. Time for accepting visa application: 0900-1200, Monday to Friday. Please call to the Embassy before the coming of Islam Ramadan, Islam Lesser Bairam, Islam Corban, New Year Day, Chinese Spring Festival, May Day Holiday and Chinese National Day, inquiring visa hand-in time;

  8. Time to issue visa: 1630-1700 of the same day or the 3rd workday.
